The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute is an independent non-profit organisation established in 2012 to advance the application of cradle to cradle principles through a globally recognised certification standard. Cradle to Cradle Certified® is a robust multi-attribute standard used worldwide by designers, brands, retailers, and manufacturers committed to designing products for health, circularity and fairness. The certification framework guides innovation and optimisation across five performance categories: material health, product circularity, clean air and climate protection, water and soil stewardship, and social fairness. To date, more than 70,000 products have achieved Cradle to Cradle Certified® status across diverse sectors including building materials, furniture, consumer electronics, textiles and apparel, cosmetics, cleaning products, packaging, and polymers.
