"RecycleBalls is proud to contribute to the shared work of building a more circular rubber economy. Each year, more than 150 million tennis balls are discarded in the U.S., and until recently, there was no scalable system to collect and reuse them. Our role in this ecosystem is to recover these balls and process them into rubber crumb that can be integrated into a range of applications. What makes tennis ball rubber unique is its natural composition and design for performance. Once processed, it provides a resilient, consistent crumb that can complement other recycled materials in surfaces such as sports courts, equestrian footing, and emerging industrial uses. By channeling this overlooked waste stream into the circular system, we expand the options available to manufacturers while reducing pressure on landfills. In addition, tennis balls provide a unique link between recycling and sports sustainability. By closing the loop in one of the world’s most popular sports, we not only create new material pathways but also demonstrate how athletics can serve as a driver of circular innovation."
