As the world seeks circular and renewable alternatives to fossil-based rubber, Reselo Rubber offers a breakthrough solution derived from birch bark — an abundant forestry side-stream that is today burned as waste. Our patented birch bark biorefining process transforms this renewable raw material into a 100 % bio-based elastomer that is compatible with existing technologies for rubber product manufacturing. Born out of research at the Wallenberg Wood Science Center at KTH, Reselo is driven by a vision to build a future where high-performance materials made from renewable sources allow the creation of better products. Our material tackles one of the rubber sector’s greatest challenges — dependency on fossil resources associated with high carbon emissions — while unlocking performance improvements for a wide range of applications. By working closely with our customers and partners we are implementing Reselo Rubber across industries including footwear, automotive components and tires. First shoes with Reselo Rubber outsoles are already on the market and we are rapidly expanding within this segment.
