Eco efficiency, a path towards integrated resource management

Abstract
The article argues that eco-efficiency approaches are both timely and opportune a sustainable approach to increasing resource efficiency and reducing environmental impact. Examples such as the Thames Gateway in London demonstrate the benefits of co-location and cooperation in waste management and Sweden's SymbioCity initiative to illustrate the potential benefits of eco-efficient urban development. Additionally, the article discusses the role of financing, particularly through institutions like the European Investment Bank, in supporting eco-efficient projects.
