Abstract

Recycling and utilizing waste products are two efficient ways to handle a wide variety of garbage. The current study focuses on making concrete with rubber tyres instead of cement and sugarcane bagasse ash (SCBA) instead of coarse material. This experiment examines the results of tests on the incorporation of recycled tyres and SCBA into concrete for prospective applicationswithin the construction sector, considering the rising amounts and challenges associated with the disposal of SCBA and rubber tyre waste. SCBA contains significant amounts of amorphous silica and aluminium ions. For experimental studies, Sakthi Sugars Private Limited in Aapakoodal, Tamil Nadu, provides sugarcane bagasse ash and information on its chemical properties. Regular Portland cement was changed out for SCBA in percentages of 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% by weight. The results showed that a 10% addition of SCBA to concrete significantly boosted the strength of the mixture. In 2008, the yearly production of end-of-life tyres (ELTs) was over one billion. The suggestion suggests that rubber tyres can be disposed of by serving as coarse aggregate in concrete. Tyres must be slash into small pieces no bigger than 20 mm in order to be utilized as coarse aggregate. It was used to substitute for 15% of the ordinary gravel. The concrete grade used in this investigation is M40. Tests were conducted in accordance with the various IS norms.
