Challenge
The “My Playground” project, developed in collaboration with landscape architect Gustin Landskab, aimed to create a temporary, mobile play landscape for urban spaces in Denmark. The solution needed to be both aesthetically appealing and functional, with a focus on safety and supporting children's motor development. There was also a desire for a design that would visually stand out and adapt to various areas and purposes.

Solution
We produced specially developed triangular rubber tiles that not only meet technical requirements for fall protection and slip resistance but also bring the architect’s vision of a 3D box-like surface effect to life. The unique geometry creates a striking visual depth and gives the landscape a modern and playful expression.

The project posed a particular challenge during installation: triangular tiles are significantly more complex to lay than traditional square tiles, requiring precision and experienced craftsmanship. Nevertheless, the result is both functional and architecturally compelling.

Result
My Playground has now been installed in several urban areas across Denmark and has proven to be a popular and durable solution for temporary playgrounds. The modular design makes it easy to relocate and adapt the concept to new locations, while the robust tiles ensure long service life and minimal maintenance. The project stands as a strong example of how functionality and architectural vision can be successfully combined in one product.
