Prism Worldwide is a clean technology company that is commercializing circular polymers and compounds derived from end-of-life ground tire rubber. Our patented technology yields affordable, performance-oriented polymers for use in a broad range of applications.

Our first success was a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) containing 50% tire polymer used in an injection molded all-weather auto floor mat.  This mat is now online at a major multi-national retailer starting in the US.  For every four mat sets sold, one scrap tire is diverted from a landfill or incinerator.

The process starts with ground tire rubber (GTR) as feedstock.  The proprietary Prism process converts GTR into a polymer intermediate called Matrix.  Matrix is a sticky crumb material that readily crosslinks with virgin rubber in the presence of traditional curatives like sulfur.  TPEs and rubber modified olefins are produced using Matrix as the rubber domain replacing virgin EPDM for more affordable injection molding, thermoforming, roto-molding and extrusion compounds.

Product families include:

Ancora™ Thermoplastic Elastomers – The Ancora™ family of thermoplastic elastomers are manufactured using Prism™ polymers as the elastomeric base. These products are available in a broad range of hardnesses and post-consumer recycled content, ranging from 25 to 50%.  Ancora TPEs are a cost-effective, sustainable alternative for virgin TPE, TPV, and TPO materials.

Ennova™ Rubber Modified Olefins – The Ennova™ family of products are rubber modified olefins produced using Prism’s polymers as the elastomeric base. These materials offer improved impact resistance while increasing post-consumer recycle content without a green premium.

Ancora™ V Vulcanizate – Ancora™ V is a high recycle content (>97%) rubber compound derived from end-of-life tires.  It can be vulcanized at 100% or added to rubber compounds to improve cost and sustainability.  It acts as a functional filler that can partially replace virgin rubber polymers and carbon blacks.
