Abstract

At Circular Rubber Platform, our mission is to make rubber circularity the norm. We envision a future where high-quality rubber made with bio-based or recycled content is readily available, and using these sustainable materials for various applications becomes standard practice. This drive towards a circular rubber economy is gaining momentum. But how exactly is this transition happening, and what are the key trends shaping its trajectory? To answer these questions, we have released a whitepaper that provides a snapshot of the industry’s transition towards circularity, based on an analysis of sustainability reports from 40 leading rubber companies. Our analysis reveals a growing focus on recycled and bio-based materials, as well as initiatives to reduce waste and promote sustainable sourcing. This comparative study aims to increase transparency and inspire further action towards a circular rubber economy. It is important to note that this report is not intended to rank or endorse specific companies. Rather, it offers a neutral analysis of industry trends, highlighting the collective efforts of the rubber sector towards a more sustainable future.
