Abstract

Significant application of silica nanoparticle in scientific field had led to the numerous researches in the development of silica synthesis methodologies from different kind of silica precursor sources. An emergence of study which focused in the development of silica synthesis procedure from waste material has shown vast potential in extracting substantial amount of silica which is economical and sustainable. This review describes waste material as source of silica precursor that had been study extensively in silica nanoparticle synthesis.
